27 Travel Technology Initiative (TTI) Administration
A TTI Code is an industry standard for precisely identifying a hotel: for further information, see TTI Codes. Many hotels across the world have records in the GIATA database which is harnessed here by the Traveltek TTI Admin product.
TTI Admin is a method of managing destinations, tying in to the autocomplete we use for flight and hotel and hotel only searches on public-facing websites.. It allows you to choose single and multiple airports for a destination in a flight and hotel search. Additionally, you can choose hotels and suppliers which can be searched for a destination in a hotel search.
TTI Admin is organised into lists and groups. A list consists of groups of destinations that are made available in a search form's Destination field and there is one per form: list examples may include "City Break", "Hotel" or "Holiday". Groups control the airports, hotels and suppliers that populate the particular list with which they are associated.
The functionality is available in iSell through More > Suppliers > TTI Admin.
For public websites, this functionality supersedes Destination Suppliers. Destination Suppliers must still be used in iSell.
Overview of setting up TTI Admin to populate a Destination field
The website is created and includes the required travel Search forms for flight and hotel, hotel only or both. A cron script is created by the Traveltek Maintenance team that is required in the generation of the list for the Destination field.
In iSell, within TTI Admin, lists with names that usually match the relevant search forms are added. The web designer is given the list IDs and maps them to the Destination fields.
Groups are created and attached to the respective lists in TTI Admin. On the Lists page, for each list, the Generate link is clicked to populate the list.
