Supplytek Flights v3
The Supplytek Flights Module – formerly known as Flytan and iTop Flights - allows you to enter flights into the system which are then returned for ticket sales in search results. You can enter one-off return or one-way flights, or, more typically, generate sequences of flights within a date range.
The flight allocation module serves as a dual purpose. Firstly, it allows either travel agents or tour operators with their own group allocations on particular routes to control full charters of aircraft, and can manage full seasonal departures with complex rotation and yield management. An alternative use is for out of range flights for air elements outside the standard 12 months' availability range where there is a requirement to create packages without this restriction: for example, a cruise package that could have bookable inventory up to 3 years ahead.
Out-of-range flights (known as ghost flights) are added and speculatively priced based on historical data, and these packages are then technically bookable to a client.
Breakdown items such as taxes and suppliers/operators are defined before the flights so that they can be associated with the flights when they are created.
